today we took my car to the shop for inspection. it needs a
new exhaust, new discs for the brakes, new summer-tires and some minor
things. it'll probably cost me a fortune and good thing I didn't buy
the laptop or I would be out of money.
we missed breakfast again, so we decided to go the bagelshop in Schwabing,
the one I wanted to go to a couple of weeks ago (or last week?- I don't
remember). we both decide to have "86" which is a plain bagel with
lettuce, tomato and basil creamcheese. the ghost had a cappuccino with
it while I decided to have an iced-tea. they had a lot of work done o
the shop and it looks a lot nicer, also their internet-site looks a lot better now. not great but definitely an improvement!
we also brought home 24 frozen bagels and 4 brownies. that way we can
have a bagel every day for the next 12 days. yippieh! cinnamon-raisin
is my favorite. with a little hint of melting butter. nothing else. I
am grateful that a simple bagel can still make my day. not to mention
the strawberries and pineapple we had for dessert!
So you think
it's worth to give them second chance? I discoverd the shop in last autumn and was so happy about it because I learned to love bagels in america and canada vacations. Do you know "Tim Hortons" (a Fast Food Company, but I think, only in Canada)? But the problem was ... I ordered a tuna bagel - I love tuna bagels - and it tasted sooo different from my expectations that I was badly disappointed :o((

Give it a second chance
but maybe this time try something that you won't compare to an "imaginery taste". that usually always ends with disappointment. I have never been in Canada and I don't know Tim Hortons, sorry. and I must admit I never had a tuna bagel. I am more the "creamcheese" type ;-)
but they have so many varieties, try something that you don't know already and maybe you like it. if not, you can write it off from your list of favorite places :-) What do you think about "Backspielhaus" Do you know them? There is one not far from the Bagelshop. on the other side of the street a little further up (direction out of town) I think it's actually close to the tram station. Those i really love too. But they are expensive. I love their müsli and the "Puppensemmeln" also the miniature croissants. Ok I am ranting again .... which places do you like? I can always use a recommendation!

Iiiiiih wie lecker!
I've just done it. I've just been there and had a half
creamcheese feta-tomato. So delicious! How nice that they cut them in
two pieces. So I have another half one for todays evening ;o)))
Backspielhaus I only know from outside. To bakeries in principle
I only go for weekend's breakfast. Because we're baking our bread by
ourself (okay, by bread-baking-machine ;o). And there's nothing better!
That's what I can recommend. And I can recommend: If you ever go to
Canada, you MUST go to Tim Hortons! And have an English Toffee Cappuccino and a maple donut for me :o) It's so delicious.

prima!
I am happy you liked it :-) nice english-german mix here :-) especially the "iiiiiiiih" and I promise if I ever go to Canada and DO plan to go, then I will go to Tim Hortons, have the ghost get an english toffee capucchino (sorry I don't drink tea or coffee in any form) and the maple donut I am absolutely having! I love maple. I sometimes have walnut pancakes with bananas and maple sirup. delicious :-)
I just looked at the Tim Hortons site - yummy! now I am hungry again. but I have to walk the dog in an hour so I don't want to eat now, or else I'll be tired. in any case before I go to Canada I will have you supply me with information :-)
