Maybe today the ghost can get the scooter fixed, I want to drive it to work. Public transportion is really not much fun. Especially in summer, when everybody thinks they need to cover their bodily odors with perfume. And with the heat and a cramped tram you have like 20 different scents in your nose giving you a major headache. Somebody tell these people, that if you take a shower every day, you don't need to cover up anything. Even when you sweat it will not "smell", if you washed properly and used your deodorant and wear fresh clothing.
Shave your armpits and bacteria will have a hard time making you "smelly". God, I just wish people were as obsessive about their personal hygiene as they are with their appearance and image (clothes, cars etc.). It's not like when you are "dressed for success" you are really successful. In fact, it's the first impression and that consists of more than looks.

What can I say .. not only do we support 4 cats, but as we found out, our family has grown. Now we also have a grashopper who lives on the house wall during the day and in our bathroom at night.
And then there is the caterpillar in the flowerbed in front of the
balcony. He has eaten all the buds of the flowers. I just hope he grows
to be a wonderful butterfly. I want it to be worth to pass on the
delight of all the blooming flowers. By day he hides somewhere, I
haven't quite figured out yet where though. In the evening it comes out
and always rests on the same stem. I wonder what it's going to eat next.
And now this morning I watched an itsy-bitsy spider crawling on the cap of the bottle with the disinfectant alcohol. It must still be a baby because it was sooooooo tiny and light grey. Or maybe it just is a very small spider. Usually I would freak. Spiders are my personal nightmare. But they really have to have a certain size.

Yesterday morning we had a lovely outing with our scooters and shared a hearty breakfast at Gerner (Dantestr., Munich - I highly recommend it). After breakfast we went to the gas station because I was running short on gas. The ghost wanted to go home to get proper shoes and socks and a jacket, as he was a bit cold. I of course had a jacket in my topcase and was wearing at least Sneakers anyway. And just in case there is a pair of socks in my topcase too, as well as a towel. You never know ..... typical women: of course I also have a little first aid kit with me. Admittedly I don't have tools with me (I should reconsider that). But I just figure: what the heck, if something breaks or something doesn't work: call somebody who knows what to do. I have no clue anyway, so what good would any tools do me?
Alright .... not the point ...
Usually when I park the scooter I put the helmet in my topcase. Yesterday, for whatever weird reason I put it under the seat. When we came back from our flat I wanted to open the lock, but much to my amazement ... the lock wouldn't let me. It just wouldn't catch, it just turned and turned and turned ....
Aaaarggghhh! Darn lock. Just one shrimp short of a sea-food platter!
So now I am stuck with my scooter in the garage and helmet and glasses under the seat. Can't even drive the thing to the dealer to get it fixed: no helmet! The ghost has offered to to drive it there (good thing I filled up on gas!) on Wednesday or Thursday. Until then I am stuck with public transportation. Ah well. Won't kill me.
Crybaby: I want to ride my scooter!

On Friday when I went home after work - earlier than anticipated,
due to an outage - I was standing at the red light at Maximiliansplatz
when a little butterfly landed on my - sorry to be so graphic - left
boob. Another biker
pulled up next to me, and probably thought I was kind of weird, because I constantly looked down there, when he finally saw the butterfly and started grinning.
So I drove very slowly and the butterfly hung on until I finally reached Stiglmaierplatz and made a right to Dachauer Str. While I was standing at the red light (again) he (the butterfly, not the biker - he had already driven off in a cloud of dust earlier) decided to say goodbye and left. I wonder if he (the butterfly again) was a daredevil and thought: "hey. why not take a ride on a bike today while I am still young and free ..." or if he just wanted a ride on a motorbike because he was tired from flapping his fragile wings all day. One thing is for sure, I would have not allowed anyone else to "rest on my boob". A butterfly though .... that's ok. It was a nice incident.
